2018-2019 Academic Year

We post new model tasting notes in line with the WSET Diploma standard regularly. The latest additions are on the Calibration Wines page.  Scroll down for notes from the 2018/19 year.

These tasting notes are useful for anyone who wants to calibrate or improve their tasting skills. The wines are all easily available and we indicate who the supplier is in each case.

These notes are not model answers for the WSET Diploma tasting exams, where candidates are expected to provide a full analysis in prose and to justify their assessment of quality. However, they do set out all the key points candidates would be expected to cover.

By the way, the Global Wine Academy does not receive any reward of any kind for featuring wines in our free tasting notes or in our classes. We choose them on the basis that knowing and understanding them will help Diploma students and delight wine lovers - and we pay for them all ourselves too.

We love feedback. You can let us know what you think by email, on our Facebook page or on Trustpilot.
