Tasting Logic

The colour immediately should take you to Pinot, Nebbiolo or Grenache - the lower levels of tannin discounts Nebbiolo and the high level of acidity discounts Grenache - The brightness and ripeness of the fruit should maybe take you away from Burgundy but the Outstanding quality of this wine may take you back there. Oregan Pinot Noir can have this level of earthiness as can Central Otago. The slight leafiness of the wine is not something you would associate with South Africa or California
