Tasting Logic

A simple BLIC would get you to the quality and as long as you could make allowances for the wine being able to age gracefully, you should be able to see the potential complexity in this wine.

In order to understand where this wine comes from you should probably be tasting it in context in a flight with other Italian wine or potentially in a hot climate selection. I would suggest this wine could be similar to a new world Cabernet Sauvignon but more likely a top wine from the Douro. The perfume and spice are characteristic of Aglianico as is the incredibly inky black deep colour.
